About the exporter
I was born in a small village called Meghna. It falls under Pangsha, Rajbari, Bangladesh. Then I went to Kushtia Zilla school to Matriculate. In 1998 I came to South Africa to do my graduation. I enrolled at the University of Free State in 1999 and successfully in 2003 completed my Degree on Management Leadership . Due to the fact that I always emphasized on entrepreneurship, I have never worked for any boss in my life, even after completing my study.
Being the first Bangladeshi graduated in South Africa at my time, it is always an honor and privilege to be known in the Bangladeshi community in South Africa. So, I always had inquiries about sending fruits to Bangladesh. But I did not think that I was prepared for that by then. Immediately after my graduation, with a nominal amount of savings, I have started a retail grocery outlet in a very small karoo town called Touwsriver. That’s where my working life begins. After spending 3(three) successful years, I sold that business as it was not fulfilling my entrepreneurship desire and could not see my future potential. Then I moved to the Mega City, Cape Town. Until the year 2015 I was completely in retail supermarket outlet and retail hardware business. In the interim I started exploring about exports and imports opportunities. In 2015 as an individual sole proprietor I imported my first container of dry goods from Bangladesh and then the last two years (2018-2019) as an entity I assisted in bringing some vegetable seeds from Bangladesh and then exported to Angola. Since then I have realized that this is what I like and enjoy doing. Now I am prepared more than ever to export fruits, popcorn seeds and Cotton to Bangladesh.
Masterclass Trading 160cc is a well-established business. Since 2007 we are in the trade and completely compliant with government regulations. In the year 2017 we officially registered our company on the database as an exporter and importer. Masterclass International is our new venture that will add into our existing portfolio.
I believe I am the best person to build a trading bridge between South Africa and Bangladesh. My honesty, intellectuality, credibility and having a broader knowledge on both country’s functionality will allow all parties (grower, exporter and importer) to be at ease and have a piece of mind to complete a deal and make any monetary transaction.
